THEATRE FOR THE VERY YOUNG

Creativity is a fundamental skill that fosters imagination and problem-solving abilities in children. When kids engage with arts, they learn to think outside the box, experiment with ideas, and express their thoughts and emotions in innovative ways. By encouraging creative exploration, you are laying the foundation for children to become confident and adaptable thinkers in their later years.

Our Theatre for the Very Young Program engages children as young as two-years-old in original, 30-minute, immersive productions that teach them more about the world around them. Currently, our Theatre for the Very Young program, or TVY, has two touring productions that travel into childcare facilities, schools, and other locations.

The Theatre for the Very Young Program is supported by the Nancy Lackey Community Education Fund and First Horizon Foundation.

What are Teachers Saying?

  • “Our preschoolers were mesmerized, amused and caught up in the story so much they forgot to fidget! Every piece of the PGP was impeccably planned and executed to hold their attention, draw them in and even teach them—nothing was superfluous. Honestly, we were wowed by the quality of the actors, and want to be on the list for anything else you create. Put us down as your biggest fans! Thanks so much for including us in your remarkable performance!”

  • “The actors made learning about the seasons and the process of growing food so much fun! The children and teachers were entertained from the moment they walked in the room until the moment they left.”

  • “I love that the show was interactive and the kids had a chance to participate, not just sit and be quiet. I would love to see an interactive show for every grade level covering different subjects. I love that you covered root, leaf, and fruit vegetables because many children do not know that plants like potatoes grow underground. My daughter who is in Kindergarten saw the show and came home and talked about it.”
