By Roald Dahl, adapted for the stage by David Wood
The beloved children’s book by Roald Dahl, and future summer blockbuster film, is also an inventive play! Through crafty and clever stage magic, we see the story of an orphan girl named Sophie, as she encounters the Big Friendly Giant who, despite his intimidating appearance, turns out to be a kindhearted soul who is considered an outcast by the other giants because unlike his peers refuses to eat boys and girls. Imaginative and clever staging allow giants and humans to interact without the special effects of CGI! Presented on the MainStage, you will not want to miss the heroic, silly and heart-warming tale of friendship, as Sophie saves children of the world from child-eating giants! Interest Level: 1st through 5th grade.
