Set in 1904 Pittsburgh as tension boils and its population grows impatient with poor working and housing conditions, this is a story of people struggling to find the meaning of freedom in an environment eager to keep the shackles locked. The CTC has made a 10-year commitment to produce August Wilson’s American Century Cycle, which focuses on the African-American experience in each decade of the 20th Century. Presented in the Circle Theatre. Rated PG-13.
